The owner of the Hyderabad House (located in Hyderabad, India)wanted a new, contemporary dwelling and for this she was ready to bring down the old house on the site and make room for her new home. She contacted Rajiv Saini & Associates for the job and told them what she wanted, giving them free hand with the project.
The architects decided not to demolish the old house right away. They wanted to try and give it an extreme makeover instead. So they started working with what they had, keeping some elements and giving up others, then adding a lot of new ones to obtain the perfect blend of old and new. The final result was a 12,500-square-foot home with a fresh, contemporary architecture and an elegant, beautiful interior.
