Agraz Arquitectos, a Mexican studio, has taken the word ‘recycling’ to the next level. The architects managed to transform an old 1,722 square foot unit space from the 80’s, into a modern and innovative apartment. In the flat, situated downtown Guadalajara, Mexico, the past has lost the battle with the future. Everything was renewed and updated to gain surface and reassess spaces.
The kitchen is now totally open, all the textures have been changed and the lighting systems improved. Modern durable materials have been used: natural granite in the kitchen, stainless steel on the walls, matt wooden floors and single piece marble plates in the bathrooms. The two bedrooms, bathrooms, living and dinning rooms, as well as the kitchen, are now wider, more comfortable and fashionable.
