Located in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, this remarkable contemporary residence is the home of a family with three teenage boys. It is called Residence Hawthorn and its beautiful design was created by Canny Architects. While the street-facing façade is quite traditional, the part of the house that faces the backyard and the swimming pool are highly unconventional and inspiring.

The pool house boasts a distinctive curved shape and shares the same minimalist style as the rest of the residence. The interiors too are simple and contemporary, and they enjoy an unhindered communication with the lovely outdoor areas. Huge windows and glass walls create the illusion of no boundaries between the interior and exterior spaces, while also welcoming overwhelming amounts of natural light inside.
