House of the Day: Restored House in Dallas

House of the Day Restored House in Dallas

This is a house of the late 1960s, but thanks to its recent restoration it now looks like a brand new contemporary home. It is located in Dallas, Texas and its original architect was a University of Texas professor, Roland G. Roessner.

The intensive use of glass invites all the sun inside, to a welcoming, minimalist interior. Outside, the coldness of the modern materials is tuned down by the beige bricks of the walls. In all, there are 7,000 square foot of airy, spacious living space with five bedrooms, and six bathrooms.

Things around the house are just as beautiful as they are inside: a lovely backyard with manicured landscaping invites guests to relax, while the lap pool represents a perfect entertainment area for both kids and adults. The house is listed for $4,995,000.
