House of the Day: Mountain House by David Guerra Architecture

House of the Day Mountain House by David Guerra Architecture

We simply fell in love with this house. We know that it’s all a matter of personal taste, so we don’t expect everybody to like it as much as we do, but we are sure many will. Probably not that impressive on the outside for some, this Mountain Home by David Guerra Architecture is simply stunning on the inside.

First of all, the sceneries. Breathless! Located in Nova Lima, Brazil, the house is surrounded by an ecological reserve. This is a bold concept which intends to combine nature with modernity and technical evolution. The materials used for the house reflect this very well, and so does the whole interior design.

The pieces of furniture are quite diverse in style (rustic and modern, classic and contemporary), but when put together, they create a unique warm atmosphere. David Guerra Architecture did a great job in combining natural materials such as wood, stones or bamboo, with technological materials like anodized aluminum, laminated glass or stainless steel.

Thanks to the extensive use of wood (floor, large doors, walls and ceiling), the house flaunts very good acoustic comfort, as all this wood provides a very good noise absorption.

In the outside living pace, things are just as great as they are inside the house. A large courtyard with a green patch of grass and a blue pool invites guests to relax in the sunlight. But what makes the outdoor area even more appealing is the amazing landscapes that surround the entire home. This is truly a place of serenity and relaxation.

Since we are so impressed with this home we would like to know what your opinion on the project is. Would you like to live in a house like this?
