Delightful Trasierra Hotel in Seville, Spain

An excellent hotel must always have wonderful surroundings. Judging by that criterion, Trasierra Hotel is an excellent one indeed: it is located in the majestic Sierra Morena Mountains, only an hour’s drive from the Seville International Airport, Spain. The fact that it is at the same time secluded and close to the city makes this place very appealing to tourists seeking tranquility but not total isolation.

There is a very unique and special charm to this 16th century property, as it successfully merges old time design with modern day amenities. The building was once an olive oil extraction facility, which explains why it is still surrounded by olive groves today. There are also many orange trees on the property, which also contributes to the natural beauty of the place.

Charlotte Scott, the owner of the hotel, has had the building beautifully restored, turning it into a welcoming and cozy place. Here guests are invited to lie back and enjoy the good life. Aromatic plants make every morning magical and refreshing, while the cobblestone pathways invite you to go out and enjoy nature up close.

You can choose from 18 tastefully furnished rooms with different types of perks: private terraces, porches, sitting rooms and fireplaces. After you’ve had enough time of peace and quiet, you can head towards the city and discover interesting sights, fine restaurants and exciting boutiques. There is no way you can get bored at Trasierra Hotel, especially this month, when photographer David Montgomery and design critic Stephen Bayley are teaching a photography course here, called How To See.
