Palacete Linneo de Paula Machado is the beautiful mansion where the 21st edition of Casa Cor takes place. This is the most important event of national decoration and architecture in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, since 1987.
The 16,000 square foot mansion, which hosts the event, was built at the beginning of the 20th century on a 96,000 square foot plot. Its 54 rooms were decorated by 86 different designers and architects.
To recreate the 1,000 square foot Living room of an Art Collector, Brazilian architect Gisele Taranto made a team of three talented and devoted people: art curator Mara Fainziliber, the In Casa contractor and the lighting designer Maneco Quinderé. Using modern art and design, they brought back to life this historical room, enhancing its beauty and glamour.
