The beautiful Albatross Residence is located on Mermaid Beach in Queensland, Australia. It offers the best in both privacy and openness and it was voted the house of the year in 2009 at the Australia Institute of Architects Awards.
When Bruce Mathieson, aka Australia’s Pokie King, bought the beachfront property that same year, he paid $18 million on it. With six bedrooms, six bathrooms, large dining and socializing area, lovely outdoor living spaces and a long blue swimming pool, this residence is truly magnificent. The architects behind the project were Bayden Goddard Design Architects.
