Not everyone can have the largest superyacht in the world, but owning one of the largest and most expensive yachts out there must be just as exciting! Priced at over $600 million, Topaz is a new marvel, a 147-meter (482-foot) luxury vessel that is only 15 meters (49 feet) shorter than the legendary Eclipse owned by Roman Abramovich.
Manufactured by Lurssen, the boat weighs a whopping 12,000 tonnes, and it is rumored to have been commissioned by the Saudi Royal Family, though the buyer’s identity hasn’t been disclosed yet. The designer of this lavish vessel was Tim Heywood, a 62 year old designer who has been involved in some of the greatest yachting projects in the world. Judging by its impressive size, experts estimate the price of Topaz at somewhere between £300 and £400.
