Superb Miniature Aerial Landscape Tables by Gaetano Pesce

Is functional art something you like? Then take a look at these stunning creations of brilliant artist, designer and architect Gaetano Pesce. This new collection of his is made up of a number of limited edition tables depicting aerial landscapes of islands, lagoons, lakes, rivers, puddles, ponds and oceans.

The landscapes seem to be viewed from 10,000 meters (approx. 32,800 feet) high, and are carefully handcrafted to resemble real bodies of water, with shores, cliffs, piers, trees and everything. Pesce managed to keep all proportions perfectly accurate, and even create the impression of depth where the water is father from the shore.

The tables measure between 155 and 358 square inches and are manufactured from silicon, resin, polyurethane foam, and PVC. What sets this artist apart from most designers and architects is his desire to “communicate feelings of surprise, discovery, optimism, stimulation, sensuality, generosity, joy and femininity”, as he himself puts it. We truly are big fans of his work!
