Located on a scenic site in Barcelona, which is one of the largest and most beautiful cities in Spain, the R House was designed by Artigas Arquitectes. Modern, comfortable and luxurious, it was positioned specifically in order to benefit from the most amazing views of the city. However, the irregular lot posed a series of challenges for the architects, which is why they had to adapt the entire layout accordingly.
The resulting structure comprises three habitable levels complemented by wide terrace areas that are easily accessible. Each floor includes high quality materials such as natural stone and white concrete. The large glass windows, the steel surfaces and the wooden finishes contribute to a welcoming and comfortable ambiance that encourages wellness and relaxation. The different levels are connected by an interior staircase, which boasts seemingly floating wooden steps. Outside, a rectangular swimming pool is flanked by a wooden deck that features lounging areas with cozy armchairs and sofas.
