Luxury and Sustainability in the Vicino House

What architect Tim McCarthy did here was to change a beach house of the 1950s into a realm of luxury and sustainability. Michael Gottlieb, the owner of the property, wanted to go beyond what people usually understand by ‘sustainable home’ and with the professional assistance he had from Forma Design Group he managed to obtain exactly that. The Vicino House is 75% better than what California’s Title 24 energy codes deem good.

As you can see in the pictures below, all the eco materials and energy-saving systems did not affect the level of luxury this house boasts. Modern and very welcoming, the Vicino House in California features all the lush amenities one could ask for in a true luxury home.
