Ben Stiller’s former Upper West Side duplex is now on the market. The famous comedian/actor/producer/film director/screenwriter and his wife Christine Taylor have decided to leave their home for good, and sell it for only $9.6 million. For most people, this is a prohibitive sum, but the truth is, this luxe residence could have entered the market with a much heftier price tag.
Stiller bought the duplex four years ago for $10 million, which is $600,000 more than its current price. It is located in a pre-war doorman building, on the corner of 84th Street and Riverside Drive in Manhattan. It flaunts 5 bedrooms, 5 and a half bathrooms, a spa bathroom with mosaic tiles and steam shower, a top notch media room, a laundry room and separate maid’s quarters.
Almost all rooms offer stunning views of the Hudson River, and it’s a total mystery why the actor decided to sell this lavish apartment. Whatever the reasons, the rich couple will probably not even notice the fact that they are one property short, since they also own a house in Studio City, California, and a lovely vacation retreat on Kauai island, Hawaii.
