Studio Alberto Apostoli completed a wellness center project on an entire floor of the Belfiore Park Hotel in Italy. Inspired by the Indian Ayurveda tradition (the word means “knowledge of life” in Sanskrit), the SPA is an oasis of peace and relaxation. Spaces, colors, materials, forms and lights were all carefully selected and strategically placed to obtain a perfect balance.
During construction, a natural spring was discovered and now its fresh waters continuously fills the large water basin. Local materials, like wood and stone were also used for this project, further connecting the SPA with the environment. Two remarkable rooms of the center are the sauna and the mosaic steam room.
After a refreshing time in the wellness center, guests can unwind in the relaxing area which “offers a magnificent view of the lake [Lake Garda] that is only a couple of meters away”.
