Wayne Rooney Designs Diamond-Studded Lauge Jensen Motorcycle

When your career is as brilliant as that of famous English footballer Wayne Rooney, you can expect all sorts of brands to contact you and ask you to sign a limited edition product for them. For Rooney, it was Lauge Jensen who wanted his name associated with one of their best creations, a 2012 cruiser-stile motorcycle.

The Danish manufacturer of exquisite choppers drew inspiration for the project from the footballer’s famous and spectacular overhead goal that happened in 2011 at Old Trafford. The ride even boasts an artwork on the rear mudguard, showing Rooney in his celebrating pose after the memorable goal. Other remarkable features include a shift rod with a white TW/VS diamond and 21 black AA diamonds, and an autographed ‘No 10’ football shirt that is lacquer-sealed on the petrol tank.

This remarkable bike was not only inspired by the 27-year-old footballer, but also designed in collaboration with him. Bonhams Auctions will sell it on February 20, with the purpose of supporting KidsAid, a Danish charitable foundation. Presale estimations are between £40,000 and £60,000 (approx. $63,000 and $95,000).
