Volkswagen Design Vision GTI Concept at Wörthersee 2013

Care to know what the ultimate Golf from Volkswagen looks like? Take a look at the recently unveiled Design Vision GTI concept and you’ll find out. Presented to the public at Wörthersee 2013, it is based on the Golf GTI, but it’s got a much more menacing design. The first thing you’ll probably notice is the new front fascia with very prominent side blades, LED lights and a new front splitter.

Then you can’t miss the 20-inch alloy wheels, the detached C-pillars, and the new rear bumper. Inside, things are really exciting with the dashboard made from carbon fiber and trims of Alcantara. Also part of the awesome interior design are the door handlesinspired by Porsche Cup, the sport steering wheel, and the digital instrument cluster. The rear seat has been swapped with a stiffness enhancing X-shaped cross member.

The engine is a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 that delivers 503 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. The all-wheel-drive configuration and the DSG transmission help the awesome concept complete the 0-62 mph sprint in only 3.9 seconds, while the top speed is 186 mph.
