VisionSea Yacht Concept By Skoda

It’s not uncommon to see yacht concepts inspired in their designs by Lamborghini or Ferrari supercars, but it’s not every day that we get to feast our eyes on a yacht signed by Skoda. The Vision Sea Yacht concept boasts an eye-catching lime-green paintjob, which can also be admired on Skoda’s VisionC car concept.

The yacht borrowed its main design cues from the automobile, and it is powered by a hybrid powertrain based on a turbo-gasoline direct injection engine complemented by an electric motor. The engine alone is able to dish out 180 horsepower, while the electric motor adds another 270 horsepower. The yacht is equipped with an impressive 6-speed dual clutch gearbox that keeps all of those ponies in check. On electric power alone, the VisionSea concept should feature a range of about 50 nautical miles. The range is extended to 980 nautical miles in hybrid mode.

Storage space and legroom were important factors that were taken into consideration during the designing process of this unique yacht. According to Skoda, the concept’s interiors will flaunt stainless steel bottle holders, an adjustable leather steering wheel and a special pocket for a smartphone or a tablet. Pivotal water ski hooks will also be a part of the deal, and that’s always a welcomed addition.
