Having enough money to purchase your own jet is definitely nice, and many people are dreaming of it. However, the practicality of personal jets and even helicopters is sometimes diminished by waiting queues on airstrips or landing pads, and it’s also true that neither of these vehicles are ideal in all situations. However, a hybrid between the two might just do the trick in today’s crowded airspace, and a company named XTI Aircraft has come up with a perfect solution.
The TriFan 600 was inspired by the likes of the military Osprey, and it features a carbon fiber and epoxy structure, as well as three ducted fans that allow it to take off and land vertically. Once in the air, the pilot can turn on two high-performance turboshaft engines, which ensure a top cruising speed of 390 mph thanks to their 2,600 horsepower output. The 1,500 nautical mile range is also quite adequate, especially since the jet can reach a maximum altitude of 35,500 feet. The interior offers enough space for up to five passengers and all of their bags, which is definitely a big plus in our book.
