Spring will soon be here, so now it’s the perfect time to prepare your look for the upcoming season. We’ve shared with you the latest tendencies in fashion with regard to clothes, shoes, nails and hair, but now we have another one to present: updos.

The best thing about this hair stile is its versatility. Updos are primarily for formal events, but among the countless shapes and styles in which they come there are plenty less ‘stiff’ designs for you to choose from. They are perfect for the long or medium-length hair, and can give you a special, feminine look in an instant. From a pony-tail to a chic bun there is only a small distance. Simply wrap the tail around the elastic band then secure it!

Fashion houses like Jil Sander or Nina Ricci propose the tidy and classic ballerina buns, while other famous names like Dolce & Gabbana or Dsquared² have shown less perfect-looking versions and preferred to create more romantic and loose knots.

Hot summer days are always hard to bear, especially with your hair down, so try one of these hairstyles to underline the beauty of your neck while letting the warm breezes cool your skin. Find inspiration in these pictures of the spring-summer 2011 updo trends and tell us which one you like best.
