Dating back to the 60s and 70s, the fantastic Gulf Oil racing livery was spotted on some of the most amazing racecars, including the famed Porsche 917 and the classic Ford GT. Now, the livery adorns none other than the McLaren P1 model, all thanks to a philanthropist and capitalist named Miles Nadal, who requested it from McLaren Special Operations.
Save from the Gulf Oil emblems, this unique McLaren P1 features the same iconic baby blue and orange combination. Most of the car sports the blue color, while orange is reserved for the brake calipers and the tapered stripe that decorates the hood and the rear-end of the vehicle.
The interior boasts the same mix of colors, which can be seen on the special seat details and custom controls. The ride flaunts the same performance capabilities as it did before the makeover, and so it sports a powerful hybrid engine that’s able to deliver 663lb-ft of torque and 904 horsepower. The powertrain allows the P1 to perform a 0-62 mph sprint in less than 3 seconds, while its top speed is reached at 217 mph. No word about the price just yet, but we can probably expect this thing to be pretty pricey considering its exclusivity.
