Those of you who can appreciate vintage items and winter sports will definitely be interested in finding out about these outstanding holiday posters, which will soon be auctioned off for an incredible sum. Created by some of the most appreciated artists and designers of the 20th century such as Walter Koch, Carl Moos, Emil Cardinaux and Alex Walter Diggelmann, the posters depict Europe’s most famous skiing destinations and resorts. They were quite useful in their glory days, as resorts used to compete against one another in order to attract tourists.
Nowadays, the “Golden Years of Winter Holidays” collection is expected to bring in about $1.4 million, which is quite a lot of cash to pay for former advertisements. The set includes 197 posters in total, one of which is expected to bring in about $36,000 on its own.
