This beauty here is the SP12 EC by Ferrari. To help you understand what the initials stand for, we’ll just tell you who commissioned this flawless supercar: Eric Clapton himself. The car was developed by Centro Stile Ferrari in collaboration with Pininfarina designers and Maranello engineers.
Based on the modern 458 Italia and clearly influenced by the 512 BB, this is what Eric Clapton himself describes as one of the most satisfying things he has ever done. He talked about the construction process – in which he was very involved – saying that it was like “being in front of a gigantic blank canvas that had to be painted on.” Well, we have to say the painting looks simply awesome right now!
Rumor has it that powering this car is a 4.5-liter V8 capable of 562 horsepower and 398 pound-foot of torque. Apparently it is able to speed from 0 to 62 mph in just around 3.4 seconds, and its maximum speed is 202 mph. It’s not at all difficult to see why this is a great accomplishment for the famous music star!
