IWC has unveiled their sixth tribute to famous French author and pilot Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in the form of a new Pilot’s timepiece, Ref 387805. The watch features a 43mm rose gold case, a classy dial with a nice tobacco color and sunburst pattern, and a matching calfskin strap. Only 500 units will be produced, so if you want to wear one on your wrist, you must act fast about it.
The chronograph minutes and hours are displayed in two concentric subdials at the 12 o’clock position. The back of the case is engraved with the image of Saint-Exupéry’s last plane, the Lightning P-38, which he last flew on July 31, 1944. Each watch features its own individual number as well. Inside the rose gold case there is an IWC manufacture caliber 89361 automatic mechanical movement.
