Designed to go toe-to-toe with some of the world’s most acclaimed supercars, including the Audi R8 and the Ferrari 458 Italia, the 2017 Acura NSX definitely looks like it has a fighting chance. Priced at $156,000 for the base model and $205,000 for the best-equipped version, this car is actually cheaper when compared to the competition’s offerings, but it does deliver less power.
For example, the R8 V10 is good for 610 horsepower while the 488 GTB offers 661 horsepower. The NSX is good for “just” 573 horsepower, which is still respectable for a lightweight supercar. Other highlights include a gearbox with nine speeds as well as better 0 to 60 mph sprint time when compared to Audi’s R8. Described as a “built-to-order” vehicle, the 2017 Acura NSX will be available for customization via Acura’s own configurator, which will go live on February 25, 2016. In January, the very first production NSX will be put under the hammer courtesy of Barnett-Jackson.
