TAG Heuer’s Formula 1 collection is one of their most popular and represents their association as being the official time keeper of the sport. Since 1985, the watches in the Formula 1 collection have all been powered by a battery, yet, the new Formula 1 range has an automatic mechanical movement- the Calibre 16. This means the watches don’t need a battery and therefore are more efficient.
Both of these Formula 1 watches have ceramic bracelets and bezels making it 40% stronger than steel, weighs 25% less than steel and is more scratch resistant. Both watches are the same yet they have different colour tones on the dial and bezel and the second watch features bright red on the crown, bezel and hands.
Again, this rubber model is similar but it features a black titanium-carbide coated case with orange highlights on the dial, bezel and crown and the strap is made of rubber making it much more durable.
Each watch is water resistant to 200 metres.
