Superb 1966 Batmobile sold at Barrett-Jackson Auction

Just like the famous Comics character driving it, the Batmobile has evolved in looks, technology and performance over the years. One of the older and less sophisticated models by today’s standards was recently sold for a mind boggling sum at a Barrett-Jackson auction (January 19).
It was an original 1966 Batmobile based on the Lincoln Futura concept car from 1955. Designed by George Barris, this stunning vehicle raised a dizzying $4,620,000 million, a sum which his buyer – Rick Champagne – had no reserves spending.
He is a declared fan of the ride and an avid collector of such outstanding pieces. This car used to be his childhood dream, and now he finally managed to turn it into reality. Being a truly successful businessman always comes with excellent advantages!
