The 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show marked the unveiling of Mini’s Citysurfer electric scooter concept, which looks like a perfect means of transportation in a busy city. This little two-wheeler flaunts a simple and stylish design inspired by a normal kick scooter, but what makes it stand out among its peers is the fact that it boasts an electric drive system.
The Mini Citysurfer features a range of 15 miles and can reach a top speed of 15mph. It can be charged up at home, in a garage or in the trunk of a Mini Cooper by using the car’s 12-volt outlet. The scooter comes with a practical smartphone holder and with a height-adjustable steering shaft, which ensures that pretty much anyone can enjoy a comfortable ride. The wheels are quite large for a kick scooter and are enveloped in pneumatic tires that do a fine job at absorbing shocks.
