We usually associate supercars with aggressive-looking and aerodynamic vehicles such as Ferraris and Lamborghinis, but a tuning company named SpeedKore has decided to show the world that classic vehicles can also fit into the “supercar” category. Actually, it’s probably safe to assume that this rather simple-looking ride is able to surpass most modern supercars in terms of sheer horsepower.
Dubbed Tantrum, this 1970 Dodge Charger boasts carbon fiber and aluminum elements that greatly reduce its curb weight, while its powertrain is based on a sublime 9.0-liter, 1,650 horsepower Mercury Racing engine named QC4V. The engine is complemented by a pair of 94mm turbochargers, and it feeds all of that power through a six-speed manual gearbox. In order to cope with such an immense output, the tuners also equipped the car with 14-inch Baer disc brakes.
