Sir Elton John’s Gorgeous Bentley Corniche for Sale

Here is something truly special to add to your luxe car collection: Sir Elton John’s 1975 Bentley Corniche. The car will be sold by Bonhams on June 16 in Oxford, UK. This is one of only 45 Bentley Corniche Series 1 convertibles built between 1971 and 1976. Elton John bought the car in 1975 and he enjoyed driving it around as often as he could.

When he purchased it, the car was painted in Silver Mink with beige for the interior and the hood. In the year of his knighthood, the famous artist sold the car to his personal assistant, who had it painted in its current livery. He also upgraded the Corniche with alloy wheels. The current owner of the car bought it in 2001, when its mileage was a little over 43,000 miles.

Built using only high-quality materials, the car is an excellent example of exquisite craftsmanship. The entire series was hand built, and the process involved moving the body shells from one factory to another, which resulted in a construction time of over 20 weeks foe each unit. Together with the car, the lucky bidder who will take it home will also receive all the documentation that proves its provenance from Sir Elton John.
