The Quadrofoil is a brand new, innovative watercraft that was sketched out by a Slovenian company. It boasts enough seating for two adults and is powered by an electric motor that comes in two versions. With its hydrofoils removed, the watercraft flaunts a length of 10 feet, a width of 5 feet and a height of 4 feet.
What makes the Quadrofoil stand out among its peers is the fact that it produces little noise and it doesn’t disturb the waves too much, which means that it might be used on certain waters that have restrictions regarding sound and wave disturbance. The standard Q2S version comes with a 3.7 kW electric motor and with a 4.5 kWh battery pack that provides a top speed of 16 knots. The more powerful Q2A variant is part of a limited edition and is powered by a 5.5 kW motor that gets its juice from 10 kWh batteries. The beefier motor ensures a higher top speed of 21 knots.
The Quadrofoil Q2S costs $18,700, while the Q2A can be pre-ordered for $28,000. Both versions feature lightweight bodies that were created using composite materials, which is why the watercraft weights no more than 220 lb.
