HMS Ark Royal is the Royal Navy’s former flagship, the third and last light aircraft carrier in the Invincible class. Now the vessel is for sale on the auction website of the Ministry of Defence. After twenty-five years of service, the ship has been decommissioned and listed for sale. According to some Internet sources, the current proposals for the carrier are: turning it into a base for security personnel during the London Olympics, a commercial heliport, a nightclub in China, or even a new addition to the scrap yard. Bidding for the 10,000-ton vessel is open until June 13.
