Ducati is definitely a versatile company, as it is always pushing the boundaries of bike manufacturing without forgetting to look into the past for inspiration every now and again. The Ducati DraXter drag racing concept was inspired in its design by an XDiavel cruiser, and it was sketched out by the Advanced Design team from Ducati’s Design Center.
It is powered by a 1,262cc two-cylinder Testastretta engine that’s good for 156 horsepower – more than enough to get this two-wheeler running fast on the racing strip. Apart from the new engine, the DraXter has also received a new braking system, an improved suspension system, lower handlebars, and a redesigned fuel tank. As far as looks are concerned, the matte black paintjob complemented by yellow touches immediately stands out, not to mention the large #90 badge that marks Ducati’s 90th anniversary.
