Red Bull and Team Peugeot Total have revealed the awesome Peugeot 3008 DKR, which is based on Peugeot’s upcoming SUV. This car aims to prove once more that you don’t necessarily need a four-wheel drive system in order to tackle the world’s toughest rounds, and it comes with a series of improvements when compared to its predecessor.
The main improvements are focused on the reliability of mechanical strength and electronic processes, both of which have been fine-tuned to perfection. The 3-liter V6 twin-turbo diesel engine also received a few tweaks of its own in order to provide better torque figures at lower revs. The suspension and damper geometry have received a touch-up as well, and it’s also worth noting that this car has an air conditioning system, which will definitely help the racing team stay cool during those long 12-hour races.
