Famous twin actresses Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen have grown up to become fashion icons and they recently launched a new collection of handbags at Barney’s, New York. Nothing unusual about that: famous people often turn out to be talented enough to create their own fashion brand. There is one small detail however that takes the collection out of the ordinary: the price of a rather ordinary-looking backpack. Made of black crocodile skin, the backpack costs a staggering $39,000. Outrageous as this price might seem to some people, the bag has already been pre-ordered by two fashion lovers. Barney’s fashion director Amanda Brooks believes that “There’s enough design to make it interesting and beautiful”.
