The upcoming Beijing Auto Show will see the official release of Porsche’s new and improved 2013 Cayenne GTS. Available in two new colors – Peridot Metallic and Carmine Red – the second generation Cayenne GTS has more than just a pretty face to offer.
Powering the SUV is a 420-horsepower V8 (that’s 20 hp more than the previous generation) coupled to an 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission (the 6-speed manual is no longer available). All that muscle is sent to the vehicle’s four wheels, and the result is a 0-60 mph time of just 5.4 seconds and a maximum speed of 162 mph. Start-Stop is standard, but the Sport Chrono package is not included in the base price.
Exterior features include a lower chassis – by 20mm, prominent side skirts, front fascia and hood borrowed from the Cayenne Turbo, wider wheel arches, a sport exhaust with matte black twin tailpipes, and 20-inch RS Spyder wheels. Inside, the car flaunts eight-way adjustable seats, Alcantara leather, and a Sound Symposer that takes authentic engine sounds inside the cabin.
