Bike enthusiasts, Porsche has got very interesting news for you. Starting September 2011, the company will add two new innovative bicycles to their Driver’s Selection range. Called Bike RS and Bike S, both models flaunt state-of-the-art technologies and a sporting attitude that’s reflected by their design and impressive performance.
Built for speed, the bikes are suitable for touring and urban travel and are equipped with a clever anti-theft protection: it’s a label bearing the individual code number of the bike. When the bike gets stolen, its owner can report the theft and when someone tries to sell the bike, the buyer can check its code and see if it has been reported as stolen.
The Porsche Bike S is made of a high performance aluminum 7005 frame that’s at the same time strong, lightweight and comfortable for the rider. The 29” wheels are wrapped in high-quality tires and are equipped with hydraulic Magura disk brakes. The 11-speed Shimano Alfine IGH and the toothed belt drive system promise a delightful driving experience.
The Porsche Bike RS is also clearly designed for high performance, with a carbon fiber frame, 29″ Crank Brothers wheels and 20 speed Shimano XTR gears. It sports an innovative modular monocoque construction that contributes to the bike’s impressive stability and damping properties. Magura disks ensure perfect braking and its weight optimized carbon brake levers contribute to the RS maximum safety.
Both models promise outstanding performance and a truly pleasurable riding experience, so prepare yourself for the very best starting autumn 2011. The two models will be available in three sizes: S, M and L.
