After having bought the estate, David and Victoria Beckham spent a lot of money on renovating and upgrading it over the years. It received a recording studio, a petting zoo, a snooker room, a gym, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, floodlit tennis court, and other high-end amenities. The celebrity couple is asking $15 million for the Rowneybury House, but experts say that its real value might be even higher than that.
There are three lovely gazebos in the garden, each worth £10,000 (about $15,400) and each having its own theme: lakeside, ornamental and romantic. A £70,000 (approx. $107,700) barbecue can be enjoyed in the 52-ft marble floor garden pavilion.
Apparently the couple intends to move to Kensington or Mayfair, but they only want their old palace to be purchased by a private buyer. The reason why is simple: they want to avoid having the mansion turned into a series of luxury apartments by a developer who would use the Beckham name to attract customers. Seems reasonable enough to us.
