Petra Ecclestone’s Fairy Tale Wedding: $8.2 Million

Petra Ecclestone’s Fairy Tale Wedding $8.2 Million 1 (9)

Petra Ecclestone, the 22-year-old gorgeous daughter of Formula One magnate Bernie Ecclestone, got married last week to her fiancé James Stunt. And what a wedding that was! The spectacular event took place at an Italian Castle in Bracciano and was attended by very special guests, including royal family members and other celebrities.

The whole thing cost Ecclestone a whopping £5 million (approx. $8.2 million) and this article will give you an idea why. Petra chose the traditional color white for her Vera Wang dress and spent £80,000 on it alone. She looked ravishing with her drop earrings, lovely tiara and blond hair dropping down on her shoulders.

For the fairy-tale event, the cobbled piazza of the Italian medieval town was closed for the public, and the imposing Odescalchi Castle was hired for £310,000. For another £250,000, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Tenebrae Choir enchanted everybody at the wedding for 40 minutes. Paris and Nicky Hilton, Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice, Sarah Ferguson and many other guests were served with caviar canapés, caviar and Cristal champagne.

After Petra and James were married, Andrea Bocelli sang the famous “Time To Say Goodbye” song as a musical farewell from the newlyweds to the parents. Two series of fireworks lighted the sky above the castle and acrobats performed spectacular moves beneath lovely hot air balloons. The after-wedding reception took place in the castle gardens, where guests enjoyed expensive Chateau Petrus wine (£4,000 per bottle) and vintage Louis Roederer Cristal champagne.

Eric Clapton, a family friend of the Ecclestones, sang free of charge for the newlyweds’ first dance, then the Black Eyed Peas (£1 million), DJ David Guetta (£500,000) and Alicia Keys (£600,000) continued the celebration with music and fun. No wonder this was a £5 million wedding!
