Pentax Ricoh Imaging has recently unveiled the new Pentax Optio VS20 digital compact camera. Boasting numerous advanced technologies and innovative features, the camera will definitely find a lot of fans among photography lovers.
It has a 16 megapixel CCD Image Sensor, a 3-inch LCD display, and a 20x optical zoom lens. Optio VS20 can capture images at wide angle, from 28mm to 560mm super telephoto. Its most important feature, though, is the extra shutter-release button, which makes this compact camera the only point-&-shoot camera with this typically DSLR feature.
For increased image clarity, Pentax introduced a triple anti-shake system, which includes Digital SR mode, Movie SR mode, and CCD-shift-type SR mechanism. It also has a special software for image transfer and processing, and a HDTV movie recorder with pushbutton start, which can capture images of 1280×720 pixels resolution. The impressive Optio VS20 will be launched in February.
