Pagani’s New Zonda R Evo Soon on the Goodwood Circuit

Even though the Pagani Huayra came as a replacement to the successful Zonda, the Italian automaker did not completely give up on its first model. As rich people are not yet ready to say goodbye to the beautiful Zonda, Pagani decided to create a few more examples of the four-wheeled beast for them. And since they were at it, they also though it would be a good idea to update the car and come up with fresh and even more appealing versions.

Their latest project is the Zonda R Evo, which is a track-only model that combines the stunning output o the latest Zonda 760 RS and the best features of the Zonda R (seen in the photo gallery). So what does that mean in more exact terms? A V12 engine that can produce 760 horsepower and which can push the car to 62 mph in less than 2.7 seconds on its way to a maximum speed of over 218 mph. The car will also flaunt competition-spec brakes, suspension, wheels, and aerodynamics package.

With almost twice the output of the original Zonda C12, the R Evo will be driven by multiple DTM champion and Formula One driver Bernd Schneider on the Goodwood Circuit later this month.
