New Subaru WRX Concept Suggests Excellent Power and Speed

Subaru has unveiled its new WRX concept in New York and even though official information is scarce, the design features of the ride are suggestive of pretty cool performance and power figures as well. Low, wide and menacing looking, this sedan says a lot only by its looks.

First of all, you can’t overlook the hood scoop and the power bulge that pushes outwards and makes room for the new engine with turbocharger and intercooler. Then your eyes will definitely linger on the carbon fiber-only roof, a detail which reduces weight and also helps lower the car’s center of gravity – an essential thing at high speeds.

The sculpted air intakes in the new front fascia suggest a powerful engine that needs a lot of ventilation. They also play an important role in generating downforce.  Clear indicators of muscle and speed can be seen at the rear as well: quad tailpipes and a new curved trunk lid spoiler.

The four blistered wheel arches indicate that an all-wheel-drive configuration will ensure excellent traction, and we like that detail too. Another feature that you might like is the new set of 245-section Dunlop tires wrapped around 20-inch BBS wheels. For more visual enjoyment check out the gallery below.
