Both ArtyA and Daniel Strom are renowned watchmakers who have impressed us more than once with their creations. Lately they decided to join forces and make something really spectacular. The result is undoubtedly worthy of attention, but we can’t decide yet if that’s admiring or critical attention.
The timepiece is based on Daniel Strom’s Agonium collection of luxury watches with skull adornments and it flaunts hand-painted case and dial from ArtyA. Home made paint, special techniques, secret pigments and gold leaves were used for the miniature paintings, and then some lightning effects were added to match the fluorescent stitching of the toad-skin strap.
A sapphire crystal protects the dial and a Swiss automatic movement power the piece, which is water resistant to up to 50 meters. Only 88 pieces of this limited edition timepiece will be made and each will wear a price tag of 11,900 Swiss Francs, or some $13,175.
