First introduced in 2015, the Signs and Symbols collection by Montblanc is inspired by the legend of zodiacs, and this year around, the company has chosen the Rooster as its source of inspiration. The fountain pen in question honors the modern influence of Eastern culture, and it includes an engraving of the zodiac symbol Rooster on a rhodium-coated Au750 solid gold nib. The top of the cap shows off the birth years that are relevant to the rooster, while the body of the pen is emblazoned with a yellow citrine, which is the birthstone of this animal.
There’s also a representation of the lucky number 8, and the pen’s name, Rooster 512, signifies the sum total of 8x8x8. Apart from this rooster fountain pen, Montblanc also revealed the Water Dragon 88, which impresses with a dragon engraving on a cast Ag925 silver cap. Other highlights include an u750 solid champagne gold nib adorned with a fine engraving of a dragon, while a Montblanc emblem and an amethyst round up this exceptional piece. The Water Dragon 88 is limited to just 88 pieces.
