Even though you might be inclined to label this concept as a crazy science-fiction project, keep in mind that science fiction has a crazy habit of becoming science-fact as the decades go by. Created by a company called Infiniti, this outstanding vehicle was dubbed Synaptiq, and it was designed to be controlled with one’s mind. The concept was created for the LA Auto Show Design Challenge, and since it received plenty of positive feedback, Infiniti’s engineers actually won a People’s Choice award for their hard work.
As for the vehicle itself, it flaunts something called Symbiotic User Interface Technology, which taps into the driver’s thoughts using a spinal lock attachment. Uncomfortable as this may sound, it would allow the user to control the vehicle using his or her mind while sitting in a suspended position. The position is necessary because this versatile contraption is able to transform into a buggy, an F1-car or an aircraft. Talk about versatility!
It’s true that Synaptiq is nothing more than a sci-fi dream right now, but you never know what the future holds, right?
