Michael Jackson’s Glorious Estate for Sale

Only a couple of days after Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson’s personal physician, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter (he prescribed a powerful anesthetic to help the pop star with his sleeping problems), the beautiful estate of the King of Pop was put up for sale. Jackson lived in this mansion since December 2008 until his tragic demise on June 25, 2009.

Located in Holmby Hills, the house was built in 2000, after the design of architect Richard Landry. It is a French chateau-style mansion with six bedrooms, ten fireplaces, a fitness center, a cinema, a wine cellar, and formal sitting and dining rooms. The price of the estate has not been disclosed yet, but Julien’s Auctions will reveal it soon. The house will not be auctioned, but sold.

The auction house will also offer many personal items of Michael Jackson at the sale that will take place on December 17. The highlights of the sale will be part of an exhibit that will start on December 12. Among the lots that will go under the hammer are MJ’s king size bed, his silverware, his paintings, a chalkboard with the words “I (heart) Daddy. SMILE, it’s for free.” written by one of the artist’s children, and a mirror with a message written on it by the pop star himself: “TRAIN, perfection, March April. FULL OUT May”.
