In fact, the recipes used by McDonald’s are so secret and so exclusive that people are willing to pay north of $17,000 for a bottle of special sauce. We’re talking about the Limited Edition Big Mac Special Bottle, which can only be purchased on eBay Australia.
The 16,9oz bottle is worth roughly $18,000, and it is the first of just 200 bottles made worldwide. Once the auction comes to an end, McDonald’s has pledged to donate the proceeds to charities that help support sick children and their families. The secret sauce is made using a special recipe based on onion, salted egg yolk, garlic, mustard, relish and distilled vinegar. A Big Mac sounds really good right about now.
