Leica X2 Edition Paul Smith to Be Launched Soon

Leica Camera together with acclaimed British designer Sir Paul Smith have recently announced a new digital camera for lovers of photography and fashion. It is called Leica X2 Edition Paul Smith and will soon be launched on the market (in October) in a limited edition of just 1,500 units.

The easiest way to recognize a Paul Smith piece is if it features his signature stripe pattern. Well, this advanced camera shows its pedigree in exactly the same way: it features a bright orange stripe at the top, and a bright yellow one at the bottom, with the camera itself constituting another stripe between the two.

This middle part is covered in high-quality cowhide leather in British Racing Green color. To carry the camera around safely and stylishly, a taupe calfskin case with shoulder strap was also designed by the same British master. Obviously, in terms of style the special edition camera doesn’t miss a thing.

Photographers will be happy to learn that in terms of technology the Leica X2 Edition Paul Smith is just as impressive. It features Leica Elmarit 24 mm f/2.8 ASPH, with 1 aspheric element and 8 elements in 6 groups, 16.5 Megapixel APS-C CMOS Image Sensor, 11 AF Points Auto Focus System, ISO between 100 and 12500, and 2.7 inch LCD display with resolution of up to 230,000 dots.
