Even though Lamborghini is currently famous for its high-end, elegant yet menacing-looking supercars, the Italian automaker used to be quite a big player on the SUV market a few decades ago. Back in 1986, Lamborghini created the LM002 – a rugged SUV that brought the best of both worlds in terms of power and reliability.
It was a much-appreciated car in its glory days, particularly because it was powered by the same engine that animated the famous Countach, a roaring 5.2-liter V12. Come Christmas, a Lamborghini LM002 from 1989 will be put under the hammer by RM Auctions, and it is expected to fetch about $250,000. Whoever is going to take this thing home will end up with a highly coveted Christmas present, that’s for sure.
