Julien’s Auctions Offers John Lennon’s Custom Vox Guitar

Music enthusiasts and passionate collectors, get ready for an exciting auction by Julien’s Auctions. The event will take place at the Hard Rock Café in New York, and one of the most exciting lots will be a custom Vox guitar that was used by both George Harrison and John Lennon. The music memorabilia sale will happen on May 18.

The rare electric guitar was played during the Magical Mystery Tour of the fabled rock group, The Beatles, which makes it an extremely appealing item for any true connoisseur. Its builders were craftsmen Dickey Denney and Mike Bennett, whose exquisite work has ensured it a long life – the guitar is still in very god condition. This is undoubtedly a priceless piece of musical history, but experts estimate it to go for $200,000-$300,000.

Other significant items that will be sold at the auction include a pillow that was signed and thrown from a hotel window by Michael Jackson; Elvis’ jewelry, signed items, and personal pieces of clothing; the personal guitar strip of Jimi Hendrix; “Mr. Tambourine Man” lyrics written by hand by Bob Dylan; and the Grateful Dead artwork by Rick Griffin.
