James Bond’s Lostus Esprit S1 for Auction

Even though the first car to come to mind when you say James Bond is the iconic Aston Martin DB5, RM Auctions has got another exquisite vehicle of Agent 007 for sale. It is the amphibious car which took actor Roger Moore under water in his third Bond movie called The Spy Who Loved Me.

The name of the vehicle is Lostus Esprit S1, a sort of vintage Transformer that played an important role in the numerous underwater scenes of the movie. Also known as Wet Nellie, the car/submarine was developed by Perry Oceanographic in Florida and it is expected to create quite the bidding war at the auction.

Aside from Roger Moore, the Esprit was also driven by Don Griffin, a retired US Navy SEAL. If you want to be the next to sit behind its wheel, you should be ready to shell out a small fortune. Keep in mind that the fabled DB5 was bought for an impressive $4.1 million a few years ago.
